Closing the month of September is a production I’m thrilled to share with you. It’s the first work out of a three-part collaboration of FinalRune Productions and the Mad Horse Theater Company. The project took classic old time radio plays and brought them to life with modern day field recording, and what fun it was!
The play today is “The Most Dangerous Game,” by Richard Connell, which was broadcast originally on Escape! and Suspense. A huge tip of the hat goes to SFFAudio, which first turned me onto this tale through their coverage of The Most Dangerous meme.
Coming up next week – Spooky Stories!
Featured a cleaned up version from Escape on my OTR Swag Cast pod at BrokenSea http://www.brokensea.com!
LOve this tale and looking fwd to a listen!
Thanks Bill! I’ll check it out – and would love your comments on my modern audio drama take!
ummm. LOVED it wasn’t good enough? LOL
I make satillite AD myself which is hard enough with all the VA’s and diff mics and various amounts of background noise and echo/reverb– but recording outdoors brings in a whole host of new cool things to try and tech headaches to deal with! That said- LOVED IT!
Bill
Bill,
Really appreciate the feedback – yeah, I’ve really enjoyed what I’ve heard of Brokensea and am constantly impressed with how much work you’re able to put out on an ongoing basis.
This one was a bit of an experiment for us but we all had fun, and managed to get through the cars driving by, planes overhead, etc. and the weather even cooperated 🙂
Thanks again for commenting,
Fred
