Radio Drama Revival

Showcasing the diversity and vitality of modern audio drama

Episode 171 – Meeting Aliens Close to Home

May 1, 2010 By Fred

The Aliens Audio DramaEver feel alone in the world? Then you’ll be right at home in today’s episode, which features the show The Aliens by WBAI dramatist Barika Edwards.

Recorded in New York, with a creative team that spans the globe, The Aliens follows a group of characters who are all “aliens” – people who don’t quite fit in with the world around them, and are trying to find themselves in a confusing time in confusing places.

In today’s episode we hear of a new hire to an advertising firm in London, a Twitterer exploring Costa Rica, a guy in New York with a really loud neighbor, and two people searching for lost loved ones in the ashes of Afghanistan.

The first half of the second episode of this series is followed by an exclusive interview with creator Barika Edwards and cast members Stephen Hadeed Jr, Daralyn Jay, and TaShawn “Pope” Jackson.
