This week, the tap keeps flowing at Gunther’s Tap Room where Jack Kerouac is rambling stories about his days on the road, while realizing that a whole new generation has arrived that he doesn’t like the looks of. Soak up the oozing jazz, fiery bourbon and faint smell of cigar smoke in the melancholy conclusion of “Jack’s Last Call” by Sue Media Productions.

Thanks so much for this, Fred.
I just wanted to let people know that Len Cariou is famous for originating the role of Sweeney Todd in the Broadway musical of the same name, and has featured prominently in a number of other Stephen Sondheim productions. If Johnny Depp’s Sweeney is the only one you know, it is well worth it to check out Cariou’s more sonorous, powerful version.
Great stuff!
Forgot to mention –
Cariou’s Sweeney performance is easily available on the original Broadway soundtrack recording of Sweeney Todd, a superb double album that also stars Angela Lansbury.
Chris,
Thanks for the comments and glad you enjoyed “Jack,” I know I sure did. Will check out “Sweeney Todd” too.
