Exciting audio news this week. The creators of the Leviathan Chronicles have released two special edition episodes available as pay-per-download on their website.
This is an enormous amount of content available for a shockingly low price of $1.99 per download. From the horses mouth:
Internal Affairs is the longest and most epic episode we’ve ever created. Clocking in at almost two hours, it is the length of a feature film. Internal Affairs is a self-contained, action packed story focused on The Blackdoor Group which chronicles the aftermath of the shootout in Sanctuary. In this episode, you’ll learn the ultimate fate the SSN Dakota and get a peek into the beginning of Season 2. I’ve never been prouder of an episode we’ve released.
The Dramatist is the second episode we’re releasing today . Written by Nobi Nakanishi, The Dramatist is a character driven, noir piece set in the 1930s in old Hollywood. It gives a glimpse into the origins of the immortal rebellion and how the population was forced to pick sides. The crew at Silver Sound did an amazing job creating an authentic period feel for the episode while still maintaining the kickass technology that makes Leviathan so slick.
Now, the content alone should be enough of a driving force to get you to buy these – without gushing too much, let me say that Leviathan is easily the most epic and well produced independent audio production I’ve ever heard. For a taste of it, listen to our feature last April.
Top-notch production values, a talented cast, and kick-ass music do not come free, my friends, and it’s totally nutty that the entire first season was released for free, and that they’ve only started monetizing it now… So, if you love this awesome audio, I hope you’ll treat yourself to some more and give the Leviathan Special Editions episodes a listen.
